Welcome to The Notebook.
Welcome to The Notebook. I’m Scott Sullivan. For most of my life, God has taught me His greatest lessons through ordinary people, ordinary places, and ordinary moments. Those are the stories you’ll find here.
Most mornings you’ll find me with an open Bible, a notebook, a pen, and a fresh cup of coffee. It’s there that many of the devotions and Southern stories you read here begin.
I created The Notebook as a place to share weekly devotions, stories, and reflections from everyday life. My prayer is that every page points people to Christ, encourages their faith, and reminds them that God’s presence is often found in the ordinary moments of life.
I’ve served in ministry for many years and currently pastor Cambridge Baptist Church in Gautier, Mississippi. I earned my bachelor’s degree from The University of Southern Mississippi and my master’s degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
When I’m not writing or preparing sermons, you’ll usually find me spending time with my wife, Angela, and my girls, enjoying a good cup of coffee, cheering for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, or just enjoying life on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Whether you’re here for a daily devotion, a story, or simply a word of encouragement, I hope you’ll find something that points you to Christ. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you’ll stay awhile…and come back often.
